The design and construction of the Fuzhou Cultural Arts Center is one of the projects completed by the rapid construction of the Fujian Province. A city that has undergone a great deal of modernization and construction of huge projects over the city. Fuzhou Cultural Arts Center is the seventh large-scale project of the PES Architecture Group. In 2013, the mayor of the Foze Region, with an international architecture competition, encouraged large design teams to design a conceptual concept. A plan that can help the city's cultural development.
The five cultural center buildings include the Opera House (1600 seats), a concert hall (1000 chairs), a multifunctional amphitheater, a cinematic art and cinema hall connected by a bridge to the community hall. The roof terrace is accessible by the two ramps to the garden and the Yasmine plaza, which created a seamless connection from the complex to the river's edge. Underground levels create a formidable recreational area that has reached the Lianco River, connecting the interior to an exterior view. This connection between the inside and the outside turns the collection into a fluid body that looks like dancing on the sea. This connecting route is not intended solely for the visualization of the visual environment, and provides easy access for visitors to the metro station via the center of the complex.
The founder of the PES architecture company said in a report: Dividing a large collection into smaller units would scale the project to a more humane level and facilitate the movement of users to any area. Each building has a central core space, which is the core of the building's circulation, and facilitates the entrance and exit from the building to another building or outside the complex.
Ceramic has been used as the main material of the project, which is used by the historical context of the trade of this material on the Silk Road. PES architects have been working with Taiwanese ceramic artists, interior design and project elements with architecture day technologies. The design has been executed with white ceramic tiles and has exhibited diverse and innovative landscapes to the eastern and western shells of buildings.
