Bridal Veil Falls in B.C., Canada! (Photos)

in #travel7 years ago

After @haileyscomet and my hike to Tea Pot Hill, we headed 30 minutes east to check out the B.C.'s version of Bridal Veil Falls. We have been to one of the same name already in Oregon and know of one in Washington (we would have gone but it was closed because of a forest fire last summer) and several others across the world. The hike is only half a mile there and back, however that doesn't include the hike going past the point where the tell you not to; but compared to the 3.7 miles we just did, it was a breeze even with the steep uphill.

The falls were not too crowded and we had no problem going right up to the falls, you could even touch the falls and feel the water as it poured down the side of the rock. Hailey got all the way up to it and cooled off, but I stayed a bit back since I had the camera. We were able to get some great photos and awesome video (stay tuned for that). The sound of the water was so relaxing and meditative, we could have gotten lost there for hours just listening to the sounds. This water fall has the full effective with the mist zone, the sites, and the sounds! This easy hike should be on your list if visiting the B.C. area.

P.S. Why do people have to trash everything!? Two big empty Gatorade bottles right by the falls.....WHY!!!!! Do not be lazy people!

waooooow such a lovely moments you captured.

Great little adventure post with good photos. I love getting out in nature and chasing waterfalls. This one looks like a beauty, I love how it isn't a dead drop off but a nice consistent cascade down the rock face. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to see it in person so thanks for sharing!

Great scenery. There are parts of Upstate New York that look similar.
