The Best Time to Visit New York City

Hands down - the best time to visit New York City is during the Christmas holiday season. For starters the weather is nice and cool and the Christmas decorations are absolutely stunning!

Before we begin check out my behind the scenes video as I share some insight and edit the raw photos. I know it’s not the most exciting video (lol) but I know many people like to see the process.

Facebook Christmas Live Stream

I didn't get all of the photos I wanted to capture - but we did manage to cover a lot of ground in a few hours! The key is to start at 10pm so there are less people and police won't give you a hard time parking where you're not supposed to (as long as someone is in the car).

Now I know many of you reading this may want to know where the photos were taken so I'll be sure to capture them...

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

Luckily I was able to get this shot while the Empire Statue Building was lit "red, green & candy cane stripe". They don't always light the building with different colors but luckily they have a schedule. You can check it out here: https://www.esbnyc.com/about/tower-lights.

METLIFE BUILDING

If you're a long time New Yorker - this will forever be the Pan Am building!

7th AVENUE

59th STREET & 5th AVENUE

BERGDORF GOODMAN 5th AVE & 58th STREET

Be sure to watch the video (you'll have to fast forward) as these windows are STUNNING. If I were giving awards they'd get first place!

CARTIER 54th & 5th

MACY'S 34th & 7th

The day Macy's closes this location - it'll be a huge loss to NYC as it's iconic. And the photo you see below is just one side of the building!!! This place is MASSIVE!

TIMES SQUARE

Welp - it looks like there isn't going to be a New Year's Eve celebration. But if it was a riot, a BLM gathering or "peaceful protest", or a Biden celebration - the rules would be different.

That's it for now and I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be back to posting more content regularly for 2021 so be sure to come back.

On a final note - I know 2020 kinda sucked but I promise 2021 is going to be awesome! A lot of good things happened behind the scenes that you didn't hear on main stream media. So hang in there - and weather the storm!
