Welcome back everyone, this is Part 2 of my trip to Moscow. So if you haven’t read the Part 1 please go ahead and do so.
As a tourist you can have an amazing time in Moscow, there is so much to do so much to see. You can literally just walk around some beautiful areas that you’ve read about in Master and Margarita, and just day dream. Some things that I would definitely recommend every tourist who visits Moscow to do is to explore our theater district.
If you are lucky you can find opera or ballet tickets at the beautiful Bolshoi Theater. Try to avoid going there during summer because that’s when it’s off season, and nothing is playing there. I’ve been to a lot of different opera houses around the world like New York, London, Paris and Rome, and Bolshoi Theater is definitely one of the top ones I’ve been to.
I was one of the lucky ones to score a ticket to my favorite opera La Traviata when I was there. If you go to their regular website and see that all tickets are sold out DON’T BE UPSET because there are other 3rd party websites that sell these tickets. Which is how I got mine :)
As expected, it was a magnificent show. Now it was time to for a late dinner in the city. I’ve planned my dinner options way in advance to make sure I get a good table. So I’ve decided to go to one of the best seafood restaurants in Moscow, La Marée
They have multiple locations in the city, and I believe also in Monaco. It was such a beautiful place with live music and very attentive staff. However, the best thing about it was the seafood, it was remarkably fresh and tasty.
The restaurant has a huge menu but you can ask the server for recommendations if you need help. I knew exactly what I wanted to order because I studied the menu in advance, I always do that haha :)
In between your courses you can actually have a slow dance session with your date while the band plays some romantic music for you. Overall it was a very beautiful experience. Some people come there to celebrate their birthdays with a group of friends but I would recommend that you’ll bring someone special to share this with…<3
The next day I decided to check out Moscow Business Center, which is basically a financial district of the city. Built fairly recently it already attracted a lot of people to move into the Center because you literally have everything there. If you work in financial services you can walk minutes to your office, you can have a great modern apartment with a beautiful view, you can enjoy fabulous shopping centers as well as movie theaters and many great restaurants.
So that day I decided to have lunch at Sixty
It’s considered to be the tallest restaurant in Europe. That place has great food and obviously an amazing view. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable experience in more modern environment. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, great in house mixologists, and of course food was delicious :)
