Prague is a hot tourist destination with picturesque splendour that never fails to amaze. It is a unicorn of a traveller's dream - rich history, medieval architecture, crazy nightlife, romance in the air kind of vibe with delicious food and beer. Just a day in Prague to soak all of this can be a daunting task but I am here to help out with a good mix of sightseeing, chilling, unwinding and ofcourse PARTYYYY.
1 . LETNA BEER GARDENS - When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Start with a beer at the Letna Gardens. These gardens are long stretch of green perched on a height and the beer garden inside offers a spectacular view of Prague skyline and the river Vltava. It has a stage for different cultural shows and I was lucky to find a full fledged orchestra performing at the time.
2 . OLD TOWN SQUARE - It's 25 minutes by walk and 20 minutes by train from the beer gardens. If the weather is warm and nice, I would recommend walking as even the regular streets of Prague has so much beauty to offer.
On our way down from the Gardens
Old Town square is this magical circular area lined with cafes, shops and colorful architectural masterpieces resting on cobbled streets. It's just wow. I stood there for minutes soaking it all in. YOu could check out churches, astronomical clock, people - whatever interests you.
3 . CHARLES BRIDGE - Take a stroll to the Charles bridge along beautifully setup cafes facing the river, narrow streets, patches of gardens and the aroma of freshly baked donut cones. It feels like you are travelling back in time only to a more aesthetically beautiful era.
Enroute
The art galore - Charles Bridge
4 . JOHN LENNON WALL - Walk over on the Charles bridge to find this instagram dream wall. If you are feeling artsy, go ahead and do some graffiti on the wall. It's a nice casual chill spot with music and lot of people having a good time clicking pictures.
5 . There is always time for a good massage. You will find a lot of small asian(nothing fancy) massage parlors around the town. After all the walking, we really needed some pampering to get pumped up for the night.
6 . PUB CRAWL - There are a couple of clubs in Prague that stay open till the wee hours but the best way to experience the night life when you have only one day is to sign up for a pub crawl. Those guys took us to for different clubs. There were unlimited drinks in the first club and one complimentary drink in others. through pub crawl you get to meet a bunch of party monsters from all across the world and it's a lot of fun. Just google up pub crawl and it will take you to a lane next to old town square and you would find flags for different crawls. Choose any, all of them take you to same clubs.
FOOD SCENES IN PRAGUE
I ate mostly Indian food and trust me I had some of the most delicious curries. There are a lot of options to eat out there and Italian food is really good. I was on a strict budget and did not splurge on food and if you are tight on cash then try try "Beas Dhaba" right near old town square. They have super tasty vegetarian curries for a steal.
ADDITIONAL INFO
If you like visiting historical places, you have landed a jackpot. There is so much to see in Prague

You could also take free walking tours that will take you to few of above listed places. I skipped it as I like assimilating with locals and the town than sightseeing.
