Last week, I got a chance to witness one of the most extraordinary places on mother Earth called Yellowstone National park in America.
Yellowstone is special because the Earth's crust is thinner than most of the places which leaves this terrain with rich geothermal activity forming beautiful hot springs and geysers throughout the landscape. Human intervention is kept minimal(only tourist lodging and roads) and one can see wildlife dwelling in their true nature like their ancestors.
I will be posting more about Yellowstone in upcoming posts as there was so much to share and one long post won't do justice.
This one is about West Thumb Geyser basin.
The name is because of the shape.
It is one of the smallest geyser basin along the shore of Yellowstone lake and has a very scenic view. Visitors walk along a wooden path to witness multiple pools with steaming water, fishcone and vast views of the lake. Posting pictures for you all to see the beauty of this basin.
