Busan is believed to be in the top 10 tourism destinations in the world.
Not only Marine city and Haeundae beach but also Gamcheon culture village is a hot place.
Gamcheon culture village dates back to the Korean War. The refugees first started their living there in the 1950s and have been living until present. In that sense this place is showing the history of Busan.
In Gamcheon culture village we can see the collective step- like residential areas at the foot of the mountain and enjoy the alleys like maze. There are plenty of beautiful murals so that where we stand is just becoming a photo zone.
Little prince is looking at Gamcheon culture village. It is located at the top of the village, therefore, it is a perfect place for taking pictures of whole village.
Though I'm not of Korean war generation, I felt sorry for difficult times of Korean history while looking around Gamcheon culture village. This village would have almost disappeared due to redevelopment plan but people preferred preservation. Now I feel thankful and relieved to have the village wholly remained as what it used to be.
여수에도 이런 비슷한 벽화마을이 있는데...ㅋ얼추 비슷해보이네요.ㅋ
서울에도 벽화마을이 있는데요. 제가 보기에도 얼추 비슷해보입니다..ㅎㅎ
