We visited crescent beach in maines Reide State Park. You'd rive through a forest that opens up onto this white dune filled beach. The beach has the softest sand. It's also not very crowded.
Unfortunately we were unable to go for a swim since it was quite cold. About 75 degrees with a slight breeze.
