When you are traveling there are a few things you really shouldn't do.
Don't travel without reservations. I say this not to take away from the fun of being spontaneous, but you might be left without what you need. Book the hotel. Book the rental car if needed. Don't rely on thinking everyone will have what you need want when you need it.
Don't get mad at someone else bacause of your poor planning. It's not the other companies obligation to meet your needs if they can't. They will try to do everything in their power to help but if you don't plan ahead and expect them to help give them a chance to figure it out if they can.
