The Biscuits was in Oahu, Hawaii for the end of year vacation.
First few nights, we were in centre of Waikiki. Enjoying warm Christmas. Santa the Octopus visited the Little Steemit earlier this year to give him the full face snorkel mask to be sure that we will be enjoying ourselves in Waikiki Beach...
So the Little Steemit turned himself to "Waikiki Shark" (The shark fin was also gift from Santa the Octopus 4 years ago. It will probably be the last time he uses it as float as he didn't need it; he loved the attention from other kids giggling and shouting "SHARK" pointing at him.)
We also did "Now and Then" picture in the Royal Hawaiian Garden. Last time we visited Hawaii, he was still a baby, so light and flying around Mr.Biscuits. This year, it was huffing and puffing for Mr.Biscuits to lift him up in the air. Hopefully we can still do "Now and Then" when we visit again! Counting on you, Mr.Biscuits!
Then we moved to more quiet Northshore. We walked a lot while we were in Northshore... (that's what we do on our vacation. Walking for a couple hours along beaches has been somehow our tradition, which started in Goldcoast Australia when the Little Biscuits was three years old. When we are at the beach, where we like to think we belong, it's hard to call it a quit. We will be swimming all day if the weather corporate, and if not, we will be walking along hours, enjoying the beautiful scenery while listening to the music played by the wave.) And the walking was one of the best things we did since we bounced into Honu, the green sea turtles.
It was incredible experience to share the beach with Honu. We made sure to keep our distance for them to have own space. We stayed a while sunbathing with them. They closed their eyes and sunbathed with us. It felt amazing to have such harmony with wild sea turtles!!!
We also visited Hanauma Bay. The biscuits actually snorkeled all together and it was also incredible experience. I do not have any picture of the beach as there was no time for pictures. We saw many many many!!! fish in the water and none of them minded us floating by!
And the biggest "no time for pictures" moment was when we did shark cage diving. I'm checking my iphone so hard to find any picture that I could share with you Steemians and well I don't have any!!! Isn't it incredible? The Galapagos Sharks swimming by and the barracuda staring at us, listening to the clicking sounds of dolphins while we are in the shark cage and the rough choppy surface of the ocean are not to be shared but to be kept in my memory!!! It just feel strange to have no picture on the one of the highlight of the trip so here is our Little Biscuits looking cool with the glasses he once owned and destroyed.
We also visited Pearl Harbor and ate at cool restaurants. (My favorite was Papa Ole's in Northshore.) Ate Shaved ice and many other ice cream. I had allergic reaction to dead jellyfish that was floating by with the sharks. Little Biscuits were told off in various occasions. Little Biscuits had his first Jandals bought, no more baby sandals! He was happy to discover that other kids speak English everywhere. I loved the Coconut Porter we had at the Maui Brewery Restaurant. We drunk a lot of Kona Beers and my favorite was Hanalei. Totally loved the Haleiwa vive. We picked up bag full of plastic everytime we had chance and time. Washing done with huge centipede inside, and he/she survived and was let out, it took us good 10 minutes to be able to do so. The chicks and Dion's friendship. The cute little lizard hanging around. The amazing miniature pigeons and all other birds. The Humuhumus swimming in Waikiki and Hanauma... Hawaian Poke....
It was amazing holiday full of memories to remember.
Hawaii is an amazing place with friendly people and amazing nature.
I hope Little Biscuits will remember the no time for photos moments that he also experienced with us.
Mahalo (Thank you) for reading, and may this year be filled with aloha(love, hello)!!!
