Got our grounding in for the day LOL! (See snowy feet image)
Luckily my parents have an indoor pool to warm them off, while we are visiting here in Ontario!
For some strange reason I prefer taking long walks on the beach grounding myself in the sand...
SO WHY Grounding?
When we feel grounded we feel safe, secure, and that our needs are met. Which relieves us of stress.
When you aren't grounded you may feel anxious, fearful, and may also struggle with eating disorders, weight gain, colon + bladder issues, lower back, hip, leg, and foot pains.
When we feel connected to the earth this helps us ground ourselves. There are several ways to do this. (Rock matts, grounding matts, walking barefoot on the ground.)
Our sense of smell is also in direct correspondence with feeling grounded (in our first chakra/root chakra at the base of our spine).
Give this a go: While meditating... With eyes closed, focus on the tip of your nose, breathing deeply down to the base of your spine. (LOVE this exercise, it is very calming!)
