Beach Party on the Head of the Stone - and a Viking fire

in #travel7 years ago

Beach parties in North Wales are never a sure thing and this night we were lucky since it only rained slightly in the beginning. As soon as the wood stood ready for burning, rain clouds vanished and the sun showed off her beauty for the last time before she submerged into the sea.

This place is called Penllech, which means head of the slate/stone.
But how did all this wood get here?

The best way to get around in these surroundings. As you can clearly tell, also a lot of fun.

That's a lot of wood indeed, it lasted until the next morning. Something I can not say about the man in red. (The best pictures I can not show here unfortunately)

The master of the meat is waiting for the barbecue now.

And there it is! Loaded with meat to go with the beer. The Welsh don't play around with vegetables.

As the sky slowly darkens, the mood turns more frisky. Lot's of hand signs to study here for the conspiracy theorists among you. Did you find me?

And finally, the highlight of the night spreads its sparks!

Take a moment and enjoy the heat.

And one last time - the fire, the sky, the sea and the people.

Can you feel the magic?

beach parties are the best!

That place looks beautiful!!

That's coming from British Columbia haha!

Your beach parties should look similar to this one no? I have a friend that lives in B.C. close to Vancouver island. Amazing place! I have never been.

Very similar! It's just refreshing to see another place that has the same amount of beauty. It's almost sad when I travel away from BC .. many places are just vast brown emptiness

Mag den Feuer und die Aussicht. Passt alles zusammen. My kind of dinner, meat with natural juice ;)

i love bonfire :) great
