Journey from Visp to Zermatt

in #travellast year

This is from my last trip to Switzerland 2 months back. There are so many places from that holiday which I have not yet been able to share and I will start doing that gradually. One thing about this place is, that it's just not reaching the final destination to see something, it's the journey all along where you keep watching beautiful views of this place. My full journey was covered by Train travel. Someday I wish to drive around also in this Country. Hubby gets a little scared driving in another Country and for that reason we always take a train pass and then move around the place. It's the most convenient and faster way to travel through in this place.

On this day we started our journey from Geneva and our destination was Zermatt. There was no direct train and we had to change from station Visp. The journey from Geneva to Visp was wonderful but then from Visp to Zermatt it was breathtaking. I just could not get enough of it. The total journey was 3.5 hours and I was feeling like I will get bored with this long train journey, but then time just flew by with these views around. I had thought that I would catch up on some sleep in the train since we had started early morning, but that too did not happen. I was feeling so excited with the views and wanted to capture as many as I could.

On reaching Visp, we had a connection within 10 minutes, but an incident happened and we were delayed by almost 45 minutes. The wait was still ok, but the crowd was building up for the Zermatt journey, since one more train arrived in that time. Thankfully when the train arrived, I managed to get the window seat, which is always my preference.

This footboard was stuck, it was not going inside and because of that there was a delay. It took them more than half an hour to fix the problem

Once the journey started everyone was enjoying the views

This stream was flowing for most of the journey along the railway line

How I wish journeys like this would never end in life. But then to also think of it, if you keep seeing beauty all the time around you, then you stop appreciating it.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Always enjoyed these journeys across amazing landscapes, the views makes one wonder and appreciate how beautiful Nature can be. In a way, I think it also feeds the soul :)

The landscapes here are charismatic. It just keeps going on and on and as you rightly said, feeds the soul

Those pictures made me feel like I was going to one of those stories in the mountains, or a renaissance movie.
What beautiful landscapes! And how lucky you are to have been able to enjoy them from the train window.
Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos of your trip.

Thank you. These landscapes are just amazing and you feel so good watching them, just not in real but in pictures also

Switzerland looks beautiful
I hope I get to travel all around the world someday
I've never been on a plane though

I wish your dream comes true. You should if you get a chance
