Finally the visas have come and now I can confirm my travel to Turkey at the end of this month. My and hubby's visa were issued instantly since we had our U.S. visas, but my Son had to go through a long process and it took a week's time to get his visa. I did not want to be excited till then because you never know these procedures. I am relieved that his visa has come and I can start preparing for my holidays. We had already booked our flights with Oman Air, since hubby is working here, even if there is any case of cancellation it is not an issue. Other things like hotel and internal flights we had put on hold and were waiting till all of our visas were in place.
We are travelling during the Eid holidays, which is a week long holiday here in Oman and then some other extra days added to it making it a 10 days trip. 10 days is not enough for Turkey but then I have picked up some of the main places that are on my must visit list and planned to itinerary. We will be visiting 3 major cities, which are Istanbul, Cappadocia and Antalya. I was contemplating on Ephesus, and then dropped it because it is one of the historic places where you see the excavated remains from the Greek and roman times. We have seen quite a lot of those things in Greece, Jordan and Egypt so for this one we let it pass, because we have less days and there are some other unique places to see and experience which we have not done before.
It has been my fascination to visit these 2 places, Cappadocia and the Pamukkale Thermal Pools. I have seen these 2 places in pictures and have always been in awe of it. Both are extremely different from each other and very unique. In Cappadocia we are planning to stay in one of the authentic cave hotels, this is something I want to experience. In Istanbul I want to see the Blue Mosque and in Antalya the other place that I want to see is the Duden Waterfalls.
It's going to be a proper family holiday after 2 years and we are all excited about it. Me and hubby have travelled a year back, but my son was not along with us on that trip. I am so much looking forward to the end of this month to travel to Turkey, which has been a place from one of my must visit places in this life time.

Congratulations on getting the visa for all three of you!👍🎉 Istanbul isn't my thing, however, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are worth visiting. I have not visited Cappadocia; it must be a magical place, though.
The main places that I want to see in this trip are Cappadocia and Pammukale. Always been very fascinated looking at the pictures of these places, I hope it lives up to the expectations I have :-)

Ahhaa, I do not think that 10 days is enough for Turkey, It's a big Country and many places to see, but then I had to prioritize given the limited number of days

This is also my dream destination and a bucket list seeing the striking hot air balloon in Turkey. I agree that it is always best to plan things properly, so you ain't gonna waste expenses and time. 🙌Lovin it when you do explore together with your loved ones ❤️
