Hello there Steemians!
Today I want share with you a Chinese trip I took a few years back to Fuzhou, Fujian in China. It's a gorgeous location with historical buildings Ming and Qing dynasties.
An area of 38 hectares, this location was known as the "Beverly Hills" back in the days. Its name is derived from the three lanes of Yijin (衣锦), Wenru (文儒), and Guanglu (光禄) and the seven alleys of Yangqiao (杨桥), Langguan (郎官), Ta (塔), Huang (黄), Anmin (安民), Gong (宫), Jipi (吉庇).
It was I found the most interesting Starbucks I've ever seen.
You can walk into this alley toward the back of Starbucks after you receive your coffee.
What was once homes, most are now gift shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. (This was me in 2015)
According to the history, after the An Lushan Rebellion in 755 of Tang Dynasty (618-907), many people took refuge in this southern city Fuzhou, and gradually this residential block took shape and inhabited by many officialdoms and intellectuals. It is a good place that given birth to numerous great men in the long historical standing. Today, many former residences of modern celebrities are still well-preserved for visiting, and these celebrities include Lin Zexu, Zuo Zongtang, Zheng Xiaoxu, Deng Tuo, Yan Fu, Bing Xin, Lin Juemin, etc.
It's just as beautiful at night. We went to another coffee shop and it chilly at night during February. Guess what! They have hand warmers!
It was a lovely town and I hope you enjoyed the photos as well. Let me know if you think about travel to Fuzhou! I can help you and let you know where to go for good food!
