Manali is located at an altitude of 1829 Mtrs which is one of the popular hill station of Himalayan range in Himachal Pradesh. - Solang Valley
Solang valley is a peacefull place. Drive up to solang valley is outstandingly scenic. When you reach there try the roadside snacks available there. They are fantastic. And also appreciate and live the fabulous weather and beautiful sights of solang valley. This valley is the dearest or loved-one place not only for visitors but also for the locals.
During Summer a large number of tourists came here every year and the valley is popular for it's thrill, happening, parachuting, sailing, horse-riding.
And during winters the valley is completely covered by snow and looks the most beautiful place and at time skiing is the best thing we can do there. Because it's quite interesting and adventurous...To reach solang valley it's just 14 kilometers from manali. Solang valley is a kind of place for which we can say that heaven is on the earth.
- Rohtang Pass
Rohtang pass is a very graceful and famous spot in manali with lots of visitors every year. In winter's rohtang pass is completely covered in snow and its very difficult to reach there. And, this is the reason that rohtang pass remains closed during winters.
Rohtang pass is a best place for nature admirer and adventur seeker person. The snow covered mountains gives the best opportunity for skiing and snow scooter riding.You can reach rohtang pass only by road and its 51 kilometers from the main town of manali.
- Beas Kund
The starting point of holy beas river is in manali. Beas kund is the place where the great great saint vyas took his daily bath. The kund is protected by shack -like stone structure by Hindus.
The positive and religious energy of that place has attracted the thousands of admirer or devotees every year. Simply a best place for nature admirer and religious people. Here you can deplete in things like mountain biking and camping, as well.
- Hidimba Temple
Hidimba temple directly relates with the queen HIDIMBA. She was the second wife of bhima as the first one was draupdi. Bhima was one of the pandva prince from the great epic Mahabharata. It is said that she was the queen of demons. The queen hidimba used to stay at this place and it is the reason behind the name of this place or temple. This temple is situated away from the rush and noise of people or city life. It's a very peacefull place surrounded by plants and trees.
The fascinating point of the temple is the three days hidimba festival which attracts the lots of admirer or devotees from all over the world and some colourful and interesting folk dance is also presented there.
It's just 2 kilometers far from the main town of manali. Devotees can reach there by foot also.
- Vashisht Temple
Vashisht Temple is dedicated to the local spiritual being and saint. The temple of saint vashisht is situated on the bank of river Ravi. The real showstopper point here is the remedial hot spring that are piped and cemented to make for a public bath. It is a temple where you feel completely refreshed, relived and relaxed after a bath of hot water.
The government had provided separate bathrooms for men and women. The water in these spring includes something healthier and medicinal that cure our skin from diseases. It is situated 6 kilometers away from manali.
- Manikaran Gurudwara
Manikaran city is situated between two rivers named as parvati and Beas.They are famous for its hot water and beautiful ornamental scenes. There are many temples for Hindus there. But this place is famous for a special thing that is the MANIKARAN GURUDWARA which is situated in this small town manikaran. The gurudwara is also named as Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurudwara.
It is build up when nanak saheb came with his admirer named Bhai Mardana for the social service. It is a big place for sikhs to worship. On first time the food (langar) was cooked there with hot water not with the fire and was served between devotees. And because of the spiritual powers of this place every year the devotees came here.
- Van Vihar National Park
Van vihar is one of the most common place in manali for hangout of people not only for visitors or tourists but also for the local people of manali. A high amount of deodars trees are planted in van vihar which just doubles the beauty, peace and also visitors.
There are proper arrangements of sitting (wooden benches) and observing the nature for visitors. It is best place for the picnic with your friend, family, or loved ones. And there are some small ponds also. Visitors can also enjoy the boat riding in the pond.

i spent time in manali and drove the road from there to Leh Ladak on an Enfield 350 Bullet, then we continued up over Khardung La to Nubra Valley one of the most peaceful places I have ever had the privilege of visiting. I didn't want to leave.....MOST AMAZING TIME OF MY LIFE EVER!!!!! seriously people you have to see this place to believe. such amazing mountains, amazing people, amazing food and occasionally an amazing random party in the forest. Thanks for the great pictures reminding me of all those wonderful memories
