This photo was taken at La Barceloneta located at the old port of Barcelona. This area was completely renovated for the Olympic Games. At the background of the image there is the monument of Cristopher Columbus, built at the end of the XIX century. The statue of Columbus points towards the south, i.e. Africa, and not to the Americas.
