In this occasion I show a street photography that shows the way of life of regular people living in South America, not the tourists. The photo shows a street vendor of sugar cane juice, I took it at the Brazilian city of São Carlos in the state of São Paulo. Sugar cane juice is very popular in the Caribbean region and in some parts of South America. Usually you get it fresh; it is produced by pressing sugar canes in the machines seen in the image. It is served mixed with lemon.
The industrial production of sugar is made by processing the juice extracted from the cane by pressing the canes.
