I'll tell you the mountain I mean. This mountain is named Mount Kelimutu and is located on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur), Indonesia. The name of the 3 lakes is,
"Tiwu Nua Muri Koo Fai" with a depth of about 127 meters and an area of about 5.5 hectares. Residents believe this lake is occupied by the spirits of the dead youth.
"Tiwu Ata Polo" with a depth of 64 meters and an area of 4 hectares. The inhabitants believe that this lake is occupied by the spirits of those who do evil while they are alive.
"Tiwu Ata Mbupu" extent of 4.5 hectares with a depth of 67 meters. Residents believe this lake is occupied by the spirits of the deceased parents.
I've said that the water in the three lakes can change and for 1 century or from 1915-2018, the lake has changed 100 times. You may see the lakes are easy-green, dark green, red, white, black, brown, and blue. The third color change of this lake is believed to occur due to the activities of Mount Kelimutu, sunlight, algae, chemicals, and reflections of the color of the walls and the bottom of the lake.
You can't swim here, but don't be sad cause you will be satisfied to see the beauty of these 3 lakes. You can also see the beautiful sunrise and sunset that will beautify the scenery.
