Flight to the edge of the world

in #travel7 years ago

8 hours on the plane.
Waiting and fantastic views from the window...

Moscow. Vnukovo Airport.
Soon I'm flying to Kamchatka!

Adios, Moscow!

Eat lunch!

Views from the window. Night..

Down the mountain.

Many mountains!

Another hour of flight and we are falling

Avacha Bay, where there are cargo ships on the roadstead.

The tide ...

Fields ...

And the unremarkable architecture of the town of Elizovo.

Nearby there is a military base

MiG-31 - supersonic fighter-interceptors and Su-24 - front-line reconnaissance aircraft.

Anti-submarine aircraft Il-38N.

We taxi to the airport.
Quite a modest building.

Welcome to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky!

Nearby is the pedestal LI-2

But on such machines it is recommended to travel around Kamchatka.

HOORAY!!!
I AM IN KAMCHATKA !!

It is here that Russia begins!
This region is the first in our country to meet a new day ...

Soon I will show a lot of interesting!

Thank you for reading and upvoted my post!

Oddly, I'm part of the 1% of Americans who could find Kamchatka on a map. 😎

It is a very good reason to upvote and follow you )))) Could you find Vladimir - ancient capital of Russia also? )

That I would have to look up. Somewhere in the old Kievan Rus territory?

Yes, but it is closer to Moscow. Vladimir was the capital of North Rus before rise of Moscow.

Very interesting post and pictures.

Какая красота! Побывать бы там в этой жизни)))

Главное верить!
И искать скидки, ибо ну очень дорого...

what a nice view from the top! its really breath taking.

thank you!

you're welcome!
