Osaka - Gifu - Nagano 1 Night 2 Day Trip Part 2

Good morning!

Within a few minutes of waking up, suddenly there was an earthquake. My phone alarm blared, and I was little scared because I was alone, as my friend had gone to the onsen early in the morning.

Even though I felt full this morning, I had to eat something. This is my breakfast below, a very nutritious meal.

We left the hotel to head toKamikochi, just 40 minutes away by car. Kamikochi is located in Chubusangaku National Park in Nagano prefecture, and is known as the "Switzerland of Japan." It's a very well preserved environment with an abundant green forest. We didn't have enough time to walk the whole route, but I'd like to come back again and walk it some time.

My 2nd stop was the Matsuri no Mori Museum at Hida, Takayama, which has a collection of festival carts that are used in the Takayama Festival, one of the most beautiful festivals in Japan. All of the carts were amazing, I can't explain in words, you have to see them for yourself.

We had lunch here too, which was another Japanese lunch set.

Finally, before we came back home, we stooped by Takayama. There is a small old town there that with old Japanese house and streets that has been preserved since the Edo Period. The popular shops are sushi, Hida beef, grilled beef, and dango. We strolled around the town and tried out some traditional japanese sweets. Then it was time to go home.

We got the bullet train to Osaka. It was a wonderful trip. See you next time!
