Dear Readers!
Welcome to the next story of our journey in Bali!
After a quick breakfast we headed to explore the island. Breakfast view was pretty amazing too!
The roads are full of temples and sanctuary buildings. Balinese people are very religious. About 83.5% of Bali's population adheres to Balinese Hinduism, formed as a combination of existing local beliefs and Hindu influences. The Bali tradition adopted the pre-existing animistic traditions of the indigenous people. This influence strengthened the belief that the gods and goddesses are present in all things. Every element of nature, therefore, possesses its own power, which reflects the power of the gods. A rock, tree, dagger, or woven cloth is a potential home for spirits whose energy can be directed for good or evil. Balinese Hinduism is deeply interwoven with art and ritual.
Our first stop was the Pandawa Beach. It was a quiet beach with moderate waves. Ideal for tanning and swimming. Bring at least 50 spf sunscreen (you'll still get a sunburn - self experience).
Our next stop was Dreamland Beach. It was amazing! Huge waves, i even lost my bikini top in it.. Be careful, it is great fun, but not as easy to get out from the water. I felt like a kid, we spent hours jumping in the waves!
After we spent our time visiting beaches, we visited Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of six key temples believed to be Bali's spiritual pillars, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above sea level. The temple is inhabited by monkeys, who are notorious for snatching visitors' belongings. One of them even attacked me! After that i sacrificed myself for a video. If you want to see it let me know and i'll upload it!
We had a really long day. Since Bali hasn't got many roads a 50-60 km long trip can take up to 2-3 hours. We finished our day with a nice dinner at the beach!
Thats all for today! Stay tuned for more!
