Sometimes you just see a view and it absolutely blows you away, it's hard to take in the beauty of it and your brain can't really adjust to it. Looking back through the photos Whitehaven beach was one of them and is a sight I wanted to showcase here on my Steemit blog today for all of my followers to enjoy. I hope you too will be able to visit one day in the near future.
This pristine white beach is award winning and is situated on Whitsundays island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia. The beach itself is 7km long in total and the sand is a beautiful white colour made from silica, some of the purest sand in the world and is so fine it can be used to polish jewellery and other objects (if you really wanted to haha). The Hill Inlet is a location on the beach where the tide shifts the sand and water to create an incredible fusion of colours that can be viewed from Tongue Point, said to be the best viewing location on the island for this natural phenomena. Although maybe a helicopter is even better!
It was a short walk from the bottom of the beach up until the lookout point where you can view the beautiful blue colours and white sand in a ripple like formation. I personally thought it looked like the surface of another planet with the circle like rings that span across the surface. Pretty cool! I hope you like some of the photos I took, it really was a special experience.

Oh wow!! Such gorgeous photos! Love the white sand in contrast to the blue water. And WHAT a blue color!! I would never want to leave such a place. Thanks for sharing!
It’s really nice 👍
Hiya, just swinging by to let you know that this post made the Honorable mentions list in today's TravelDigest
My home. <3
I lived on Hamilton Island for 3 years, right next to Whitehaven Beach. It's a spectacular part of the world and while I love life in Mexico, I do miss it sometimes. I'm glad you're enjoying the beautiful coastline of Australia!
Great reminds travelling by sailing boat from the mainland to that arcipelago and that beach...... I definetely love it!!!
Need to see this on my next Australia trip. Thanks for sharing and a great day!
Beautiful shots! We loved it so much too. Last time we indulged ourselves in a flight over whitehaven beach and the outer reef - it took us years before we could afford it and it was worth every penny! This beach is just amazing! and the reef from the sky is incredible!
