Taken by me, this photo is from the Rio Caroní.
Venezuela, country rich in culture and beautiful landscapes, with great peculiarities.

The Caroní River and the Orinoco River are the great waters of Venezuela. The Orinoco River is the largest and mighty, with 2140 km; And the Caroni River, which is not so large and flowing, is still one of the country's main rivers. It is the second largest river and reaches 952 km in length. Both rivers are subject to quarrel with each other, until the Orinoco is the winner because it is the mightiest, they are united in the state Bolivar - Ciudad Guayana, in the bridge Angosturita, why this phenomenon happens?

There are two theories, the scientific and the legend told by indigenous peoples originating from the place.

SCIENTIFIC: Abraham Mora, a chemist at the Guayana Hydrobiological Research Station (EDIHG) comments that the Orinoco is born in the Cerro Delgado Chalbaud of the Amazon state, and along its course accumulates sediments from other rivers that are in its channel and that is the origin of its yellowish coloration. Explains that the Caroni is dark in color because it contains high concentrations of humic and fulvic acids.

LEGEND: it is said that the Orinoco (man) and Caroni (woman), they saw the love from the front, really in love. They were never guilty of being born in different places, but their heart always throbbed with emotion when the wind caressed their souls. The Gods did not approve of his love, but they defied every obstacle and agreed to meet so far from the mountain and go together to the blue sea. That was his dream and it was fulfilled.

Nature is wonderful, regardless of its explanation, the important thing is to admire each part of it and take care of it.
