Turkey is full of history and has so much to offer!
Do you know where Santa Claus is from? Well, I'll save you some time- Turkey!
I'd like to share my visit to this beautiful country, specifically this one of a kind ancient city with everyone enjoying traveling as much as i do.
My parents and I in front of- Celsius Library
Built in 117 A.D- Celsus Library
Details are just unbelievable
There are tons of articles about Ephesus, also called "Efes"- which is located one hour south of Izmir, near the town of Selcuk. I found some helpful information and guides on how to get there which i will share with you later if you are considering to visit this place.
Largest Antic Theatre of all Anatolia in Efes
Incredible acostic architecture, you can hear the people on the "stage" with ease
This place is definitely where you will make unforgettable memories. If you don't have this place on your list- i highly recommend you to consider adding it. It is worth your time and with all certainty every penny.
Ephesus was one of the largest cities of Roman Asia Minor of it's time and remains today as one of the largest cities from antiquity
While you are in the area i highly recommend a day trip to the small mountain village of Şirince. A 15 minute drive into the mountains where you can have breakfast, browse through local markets and wine taste one of its many popular wines.
Sirince is a village of only 600 but its wine is well known throughout the region
Typical Traditional Turkish breakfast
One of many wine tasting locations in Sirince
Turkey might not be as successful in advertisement as other countries but its not a dangerous place to travel by any means. A lot of different civilisations lived here and left Turkey with a rich cultural history. Some of the oldest churches can be found in Turkey dating back to 4th and 5th century.
Temple of Artemis- one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, unfortunately that is all that's left
I really hope you will consider visiting Turkey at least once in a life time and experience a one of a kind culture. Keep in mind and be warned, eveyone visiting once will be hooked and eagerly wanting to go back.
Here are some helpful information on how to get to Ephesus from Izmir and more detailed explanation of the ancient city.

Originally I was going to upvote some of your sunset photos from a few days ago, but they were set to 100% power up.
So I came over to this one with rewards set to 50/50 payout to give you my upvote...since it'd give you more $ in your pocket.
(Just a tip: When the Steem Dollar is higher than $1 US...its been $6+lately...it's better to use 50/50.)
:)
Thank you for stopping by and for the tip. I didn't know the difference between power up and 50/50, will keep in mind!
Have a great day! =)
