That is a big compliment! 8 days is the minimum if you want to do the entire ring road trip. If you have the time and the money (it is expensive) I would recommend you to go for a longer trip. We had to skip a few places, and wanted to stay a bit longer in Myvatn. I'm glad to help you out, if you need more information.
