After seeing some really amazing wildlife photos in the African Wednesday, I decided to come up with one of my favorite animal shots too. I took this close-up of this huge purple tropical grasshopper in Costa Rica. I had never seen anything like this before but I got used to having these guys around me soon as they really were just everywhere! :)
That thing looks massive! You could take that home as a pet. Amazing detail in the shot.
Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty big, some 10 cm (4 in) long.
