Long story short my wife got full paid bussiness seminar in London.I saw an opportunity to see London and decided to tag along. Tickets were reserved, documents prepared and suitcases packed. We took taxi to airport and checked-in without any problems. Only family member that can't go with us is our dog, and she travels with us everywhere. We couldn't put her up in cargo or risk quarantine so my brother will take care of her for a few days.
After calm and visually astounding flight we landed in London, took taxi to our hotel DoubleTree in Angel district and freshen up a little. My wife got to seminar and I decided to kill some time and do something usefull. I went for a walk to King's Cross Station to buy Travelcard for us both.
Place where travelcard is sold was easy to find, and whole experience is straightforward. After I got that issue of my mind it's time to walk around, explore Angel and Islington a bit more, drink some cider in a pub and take some pictures of course!
Architecture of Angel and Islington district is astounding in my opinion. I love the looks of brick buildings and shapes of them. Only downside of overall looks is that there is litter everywhere. On my way back to hotel I took some pictures, hope you like them.
In the evening we refreshed and went for a dinner, walk around a little, decided to test Travelcard and took Underground from Angel station wich has largest/longest/steepest escalators I saw in my life to Picadilly Circus. "Mind the Gap" they say, probably lots fell into the gap. Picadilly is something, theaters everywhere, nightlights and all the neon. Will come back here some other day because it's pretty late and we were exausted.
That's it for today, see ya all tomorrow
