After another 2-hour flight south of Buenos Aires I arrived late last night to Bariloche. In the foothills of the Andes, it's a small Argentinian city next to the divine Lake Nahual Huapi. This morning I captured these photos on a half-mile walk down to the lakeside.
After observing the world's most beautiful skate park for a bit then I decided to go do a little monetary experiment at a local supermarket. Yesterday I'd already exchanged my cash at a rate of $1 per 285 Argentinian pesos. Today I wanted to see what rate I'd get for using a Visa card. The bill for the groceries was almost 4000 pesos. The charge to the card was nearly $25. So this means that everything in Argentina costs about 80% more if you use a card instead of cash!!!!!!
