Whenever I'm looking to explore India, I always follow some basic travel hacks. And so I am going to share them with you!
Once you're able to follow these basic travel hacks, it becomes much easier for you to explore the place. Also, you would be able to get the right info you need quite easily as well.

Asking the store owners:
Instead of asking the people on the street about any directions or about any particular location, you have to ask the store owners. Indian store owners know everything! From what the next store downs best (but mostly worst) perfume is compared to theirs to finding the best Red Ants Chutney in Chattisgarh (Google it, its to die for!).
When you're able to ask the store owners, it becomes easier for you to gain the precise knowledge about that particular location.
Most of the store runners are familiar with the entire area and therefore would be able to guide you to your destination quite easily.

Take flights for longer distance travels:
Instead of using the trains, it is much better to opt for the flights. You can be sure that timely service would be provided and you would be completely safe in the atmosphere of the airport as well as of the flight.
You do not want to be stuck on a bus in India. Its hot, uncomfortable, crowded and a death wish!

Never drink tap water:
Normally, people assume that since tap water is safe in their country, it would also be safe in India.
However, that is certainly not the case.
You have to buy the packaged mineral water in order to get clean water which would help you avoid any diseases. The packaged mineral water is available all over the country and therefore you would find no problems in getting that water. Also, it is available pretty cheap. Well worth it compared to having to find an Indian doc or spending your holiday in the toilet.

Eat from branded stores & restaurants:
Instead of eating from the roadside stalls, you should eat from the reputed restaurants or the branded stores. This would ensure that you are able to get completely hygienic food. As above, food poisoning is bad. Indian food poisoning is worse!
If you're looking for the information on restaurants as well, you would get plenty of apps to check on mobile which would provide you with detailed information. Some of these websites and applications are:
Only when you're able to check the reviews of these restaurants, should you opt to have a meal in these restaurants. Not each and every eatery and small restaurant has proper hygienic conditions.
So, whenever you're planning a trip to India, you have to make sure that you are using these travel hacks in order to explore the country safely and easily!
Sub and resteem if you enjoyed!

Thank you. :)
Good call on flying. Last time I was there, I did just that ,instead of trains. I think for some people there's the novelty of taking the train, but unless it's something like Chandigarh to Delhi, flying is far superior.
