A visit to 'Atomium' - Brussels, Belgium

I enjoyed my visit to see this Brussels attraction. Along the train route getting there, you pass a really cool graffiti wall as an added bonus. I took a lot of pictures(as usual), so there will likely be a dedicated post to the graffiti we passed along the way. We got there pretty early and the line was already fairly long to get in. There is not much room inside, so they limit the number of people inside.

What is it?
Atomium is a giant metal and concrete sculpture made by architects André and Jean Polak in 1958 for the Brussels World Fair. It is 335 feet tall and has 9 60-foot diameter shiny metal spheres all connected by metal tubes. The top sphere has a restaurant and a 360-degree view of Brussels.

Location:
Atomium Square
Laeken, Brussels 1020, Belgium

The escalators inside of the tubes are some of the longest in Europe.
