RE: Travel with me #101 : Endangered Species of Qinling - The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey!

in #travel7 years ago

Another great post. Never knew about this species of monkey and the golden snub nosed monkey surely looks very unique even among primates! The blue face gives it a very distinct appearance.

I'm surprised you could actually touch a wild monkey! In our parts, we wouldnt dare touch any wild monkey species no matter how close (we see a lot of Rhesus monkeys living in close proximity with humans here). Seems the golden snub nosed monkeys aren't as aggressive as some of the other monkey species in the wild.

Great pictures btw, and combing pics into gifs is a great idea to show more pics in the same screen!

roji! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I haven't had much experience with Monkey's actually, so I wasn't sure if this was typical of their behaviour or not. In any case, if all Monkey's are this friendly then I would really love to see them all!

I was quite surprised by their striking blue faces contrasted with orange-golden fur. It's almost like the other Orangutan's colour, but with a smoother face.

I think i'm onto something with the gifs! It would be nice to have a kind of album cover flow kind of feature integrated some day though!

If you ever travel to India, don't try to get too close with the local monkeys, they can be pretty mean :)

Yeah, the integration of pictures into gifs is a great idea - what you should so is take consecutive snaps using the same angle and integrate them - such pics look really good.
