4 years ago and a few more months, I made the first long trip with my girlfriend, we had many doubts and we did not know where to go, we thought about the beach, but we wanted something better, and then if we decide to go to the Venezuelan Andes, We went to Mérida, an extremely long trip for me.
And it was long because I being in the city of Maracay I had to travel to the city of Acarigua which is about 3 and a half hours to go find my girlfriend since at that time she was with her parents.
I went with a premium which is merideña, we arrived at Acarigua a very hot city at that time there was about 42ºC of natural temperature there for being Venezuelan plain, I looked for my girlfriend and started the trip, from Acarigua you arrive in Merida in 3 hours approximately if we take the route of the moor which seems to me the best due to the beautiful view that we appreciate however is a bit dangerous.
As soon as we entered the state measured in the middle of the paramo we noticed a big difference. The first thing was the wonderful weather, about 10 ° C. For those who are not used to it, it is a very cold climate. You can not pass through the moor without descending into the lagoon. Of Mucubaji a lagoon that provides a spectacular landscape.
Later, in the same paramo we had to stop, to take a picture of a church made of stones something totally impressive, one of the most representative churches in the state well-known nationally.
Then we went to a hotel and being in the city of Merida that was in the páramo the butt, road to the hotel began to rain, but it was not a normal rain, it was something stronger and it rebounded when I take the hand I realize that It was hail and good my emotion was not normal, arriving at the hotel I could appreciate that it was spectacular, the scenery the cabins and the attention was exceptional, the hotel is called "Hotel Paramo la Culata", where there were some very unique friends loose around the place.
Merida is characterized by being a student city because the University of Los Andes (ULA) is distributed throughout the city, which generates a fresh atmosphere and with much joy, the city of Mérida is a very clean city and people Is very attentive and decent, is also a very rumbera city so I had to go find out, one night we went to a disco called the cockroach maybe it is the emblematic nightclub of the city having different atmospheres like it is the VIP, Racing and the Coffee, I also met some other night clubs called, biroska, keke hole, a night of adventure where we had a good time, I also did something I did not do in a long time and let me be Dj since my cousin's boyfriend was The Dj of that night.
Another day we decided to go beyond the stop the head, in the company of a friend of my girlfriend, who was studying medicine at the time whose nickname was "the black" who is a very cordial and attentive character, as we went up, the temperature arrived At 5 ° C it was very cold and we were few sheltered, but we kept to the tip of miche an alcoholic drink of the region, being upstairs I found a cub of Saint Bernard and we continue to drink.
With a few days to come, the family of my girlfriend came by surprise and then we decided to go to one of the representative cultural parks of the region, called "The Venezuela of Antier" where for its beautiful landscapes in a gigantic terrain makes a tour Taking into account absolutely everything about Venezuela from the colonial period to the present, in that park are represented all the states of Venezuela with identical replicas, my emotion was not normal when I arrived and observe the replica of one of the icons of my city Maracay "Maestranza Cesar Girón" where I could take a photo as a bullfighter jejeje, I also met General Gomez who imprisoned me.

Almost forgot, one of those days went to a zoo, perhaps the best zoo that has gone is called "Park Chorros de Milla" a gigantic zoo in the middle of a mountain where animals mix with nature, generating a Unique and exceptional scenery, I did very risky things and my girlfriend caused me to touch a wild fox and play with a snake, we also observed a lion although they do not believe it in a climate so cold, it looked like the lion of Narnia and next to the one in another Cage a cougar something affectionate hehehe.

Now to finish I met shopping malls and local places like bowling where we had a great time, I ate in the ice cream shop of the thousand flavors they really have a thousand flavors is the ice cream shop with the largest variety of ice cream worldwide being Guinness record, I met ULA university went To the medical school again is one of my favorite places, I took my girlfriend to the cathedral which impacts when entering, very close to there I met a couple of friendly farmers with whom I played for a while.
At the end of my stay in Merida I did not want to come because I liked it very much, and grabbing the stop we returned I wanted to go a little higher and get to the observatory and peak the eagle where the temperature was 4 ° C and the scenery spectacular.
