Steepshot #14. As we walk to the underground city of Kayamakli, there are lots of stairs descending through many secret tunnels. Sometimes you have to basically squat and walk, and it is a tight squeeze to make your way through. It is a lot of fun as you descend down to the different floors. You feel that you have gone back to ancient times when people had to hide in these caves for protection. Be sure to give yourself 2 or 3 hours for each underground city in your exploration.

Your information was great!. i heard about this place. A friend of mine told me it is a small unbelievable underground city and is easy to bump your head. so he recommended those tall people need to mind their heads inside ;) In fact this topic kicks on my mind and encourage me to make a future plan to visit this wonderful and exciting place. i hope so.
Cappadocia is the place to go to because of many underground cities built. For tall people, they really have to squat down as some places are very low. The caves are not dirty at all. They are very clean.
