I went in late April this year. It's lovely walking up and down the narrow stairways all around the old city. The city is right on the water so you can walk down to cliff side restaurants or climb up to the fort.
You can find some nice little restaurants on the side streets too.
The fact that it's a basis for a major city in Game of Thrones makes it cool if you're into that.
I was there a few year ago. It is a very beautiful city. There was a big pirate ship for children. Don't know if it is there still.
