Often ignored, over the past years, Istria has finally and deservedly become a real treat for travel lovers.
It is more and more common to see and hear how my friends for their vacation choose the largest peninsula in Croatia, and through pictures, I fell in love with Meneghetti near Bale. This is also perfect location for weekend getaway from crowded city.
Spreading on 120,000 square metres, among Istrian vineyards and olive groves, the luxurious Wine Hotel and Restaurant Meneghetti provides an oasis of nature. The elegant rooms and villas are combined with the ultimate Wine & Dine experience.
The interiors offer a mixture of modern and antique. In the tastefully decorated bathrooms guests will find the finest Croatian toiletries, enriched with the scents of Mediterranean herbs and oils.
The gourmet à-la-carte restaurant offers unique creations of Meneghetti chefs that combine modern cooking with healthy recipes and highest quality ingredients. Thanks to an interesting and innovative kitchen, the restaurant has also won Michellin star which is the proof of quality.
The colourful coastal town of Rovinj can be reached in just 20 km, while the nearest airports are in Pula, 20 km away. The Trieste Ronchi Airport is 140 km from Wine Hotel and Restaurant Meneghetti.
They have private beach area, pools, sauna, pets are welcome. It looks like dream vacation to me, but prices are, for the average Croatian family, expensive. Three nights for me and my husband in October (during working days - monday to thursday) will cost 3555 HRK (around 500 EUR). Breakfast is included!
Hope to find a way to get to Bale one day, maybe only for dinner.
Have you ever visited this Meneghetti? How do you like it?
