Hello Steem community, I'd like to share with you guys my trip and experiences to Hokkaido for holiday! Hokkaido is a very beautiful, quiet and clean place, everyone is so polite, disciplined and considerate. The population in Hokkaido is not a lot, therefore, everything seems slow, quiet and peaceful. If you enjoy traveling to places that have lots of scenery and less crowded area, this can be one of your checklist!
A few things that I noticed was that, they pick up their own rubbish on the streets without anyone telling them to do so, they always respect your privacy and being considerate in public. Their customer services are top-notch, which you will be impressed by their passion and enthusiasm! However, do take note that, they rarely speak any other languages other than Japanese. So it's recommended to learn a bit of Japanese if you are traveling free & easy.
Here are some of the photos taken in various places that have interesting stuffs to be taken :),
Doraemon!
This is the Doraemon Waku Waku Skypark, in Tokyo, Chitose airport. Unfortunately, it was closed when I reached, so I couldn't take a look inside :(
This is the Goryōkaku aka the star fort in the Japanese city of Hakodate. The main fortress headquarters.
The modernized "traditional" Japanese houses
Hanabishi Hotel, The interior design is minimalistic, clean and zen, love it!
A "high-class" feast, shabu-shabu with many seafood dishes and also, a live abalone being grilled.
More seafood! Basically Hokkaido is a place to eat seafood, and more seafood!
After some food, we shall take stroll around and enjoy the beautiful scenery,
Sakura!
Fukidashi Park, it has impressive scenery and fresh spring water!
walking to the Hokkaido Shrine, Sapporo. Peaceful
Inside Shiroi Koibito Park, Chocolate Factory. It is like a mini wonderland! The clock tower and all around the factory will comes to life at certain timing, with the performance of mechanical dolls. There are many other fun and interesting facilities inside! If you are interested you can read more about it here

I want to go to Japan so badly. I have been taking Japanese for 2 years in college so its time to put it to some use. How was the temperature in Hokkaido during the summer? I know winters can get quite brutal there.
Hokkaido is relatively cooler than the main country land. On average, should be around 20'C degrees. It's pretty cooling for a summer season!
Yes, their winter is quite brutal. The population is quite little there, therefore it's pretty dangerous to travel alone during winter.
