Back in March 2016, I was incredibly lucky to shoot the famous Fly Geyser. It was tough for most photographers to shoot because it sat on protected private property in Nevada, USA near the town of Gerlach. A good friend of mine met the property owner by chance and we ended up with the elusive permission to photograph it. The property is now owned by Burning Man. Visiting the geyser is currently not allowed but it looks like they will be opening the area to visitors in the future. This is a 30 second shot, lit with a headlamp.

Congratulations on winning the contest. Your photography certain conveys the wild and oftentimes surreal beauty. I enjoyed reading the backstory of how you got access to it and the deatails of how you set up the shot.
Thank you @tmayd! It was nice to wake up this morning to find out I won the North America Friday. I'm glad you like the photo. Fingers crossed for the final round...
