Day 1 - Toronto to Indianapolis
Opportunity has me on an epic adventure this week through the USA visiting 3 states in 4 days. I’ve got a journey planned that will have me flying & road tripping through Indiana, Ohio, and Massachusetts. The trip is packed with meetings and travel but I’ll try and set aside some time to document the adventure.
Travel days are weird, they are kind of exciting in a weird way but mostly it’s just rushing around, then waiting in line, stressing about time, and being uncomfortably crowded all day. Im currently sitting on a plane waiting or take off and honestly I’m sweating my balls off, I don’t know why it’s so damn hot in here lol. I’m all squished in my crowded little seat and I’m battling for this piece of shit armrest. Oh dayummm, takeoff time! This part is actually fun, peace out Toronto! I always snag a window seat when booking so I can get cool pics like this!
Im rollin through Chicago for a layover which is 100% shitty compared to a direct flight. Honestly, the price difference is worth it though. You can get some pretty awesome travel deals if your willing to visit a few extra states on the way to your destination lol 😂 Still hot AF in this plane, thank god for these huge earphones are bumping music and makin sure this dude beside me doesn’t try to start a conversation. I’m starting to think about the huge ass American dinner that I’m going to destroy tonight. As a Canadian down here I’m always stoked to check out some of that American BBQ. We got BBQ up north but we seriously don’t have that shit figured out compared to America. I have no idea what it will be but I’m sure it will be delicious and massive in size.
Every time I travel there seems to be long periods of time where I just sit and kill time at the airport. You gotta be good at chillin and waiting if your gonna travel a lot, or else you’ll just go crazy! I always find myself checking out airplanes and just being amazed at humans in general. It is crazy that you can wake up at home and go to sleep thousands of miles away in a different country. Airports are really a jewel of human innovation that bring the world community together. They are also among the most hilarious places to people watch. People are stressed when they travel, I just saw a guy losing his cool yelling at the nice lady at Starbucks... only in an airport LOL. Thank god for this Starbucks though, nothing like a fancy coffee to make things a bit nicer. I caught this pretty sweet sunset pic just after taking off from Chicago to Indianapolis! I have mixed emotions about the travel day, lots of crowds and not a lot of comfort but some great views!
Well, many hours later here I am in Indianapolis! My hotel is right beside this beast of a monument!
And now I'm just chillin out watching some American TV and laughing my ass off at some of these commercials!!!
