Victoria and I specifically visited on a Wednesday evening to see the famous Peacock Clock's charming mechanism. I took this photo shortly before we waited in-front of the mechanical bird for forty minutes only to be bullied out of the way by small school children seconds before its activation! Nonetheless, it was still a pleasant experience. The Palace not only holds one of the grandest collections of European started by Catherine the Great, but it has also witnessed many significant events in Europe’s history. Thanks to its royal history, Saint Petersburg is extremely beautiful.
