The biggest reason we loved it was because we found it so cheap! We didn't eat often in the city centre, but in general it's very cheap to live there!

Really? You should have crossed the border to Lithuania. Just a few kilometres from Riga, there is Siaulai. The prices there are 35 to 50 times cheaper than Riga. Entire meals from soup to dessert, plus drinks would cost me around 1€ 😂
How does that discord group work?
We almost did visit Lithuania but decided not to in the cold :)
Members delegate 50sp to receive an up vote each time that they post. It currently has 550sp - around 0.12. The discord group just has more info about joining, post promotion etc.
