Visiting Hawaii Day 1

in #travel7 years ago

Aloha! I was born and raised in Hawaii, but haven't been back in years and really missed home. Just flew to Honolulu and had my first day back, will document each day and post on Steemit, enjoy!

Started my morning with a early jog around Ala Moana Beach Park and went for a swim.

Then went to the Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House, a really beautiful spot not too many tourists visit, but I grew up going there often, highly recommend it! On top of the art, they have a cool forest area with bridges and different paths, I used to play tag and hide and seek with friends as a kid here, great family spot. They also have events for adults too-I used to perform live music here as a college student at festivals etc.

I liked this triangle art piece the best, looks like a generic DJ logo lol.

Got a pair of sunglasses, if your visiting it's a must! I forgot to bring mine so bought a cheap one.

Found some Surinam Cherries outside, ate a few!

Needed some caffeine, stopped at the restaurant/cafe for some thai iced coffee. Drank half of it then took a picture lol

They had an area for patrons to make their own art, fun adventures there!

Finally went indoors to see the art exhibits, mostly for the AC.

Left the museum and went to my parents for some homemade Persian food, nothing like home cooking! Also this is the single greatest beer I've ever had, and I drink a lot of beer.

Feeling the jet lag lol. That concludes my first day back! I'm not a professional blogger or anything, but hope you enjoyed my post, feel free to ask any questions about Hawaii, Music, Apple, or anything else, thanks and Aloha!
