I have been to northern Italy in a small village almost next to the Swiz border. 2-3 kilometer over Lago di Como. I stayed there for one week learning how to make a Fresco, to paint a fresco! It was mostley old people living there and lots of cats. It was many artists living there as well and the village was rich on sculptures and frescos. I stayed in a very very old house a former monastery. Beautiful sight over Lago di Como!

Hi @see5staar , I don't know what is the magic relationship between cats and old people - but there must be a dynamic - a universal truth that they simply like each other.
Wow, how wonderful, staying in a monastery much be very special. Where you content about what you learned? It must be such a difficult skull - painting a fresco.
We are very close to Lago di Como at the moment. We are basically staying next to Como's little brother - Lago di Lecco :-)

Hi again! I was very content. I learned a lot, the teacher was a wellknown Swedish artist, Hans Åberg, who is coworking with Italian artists in frescomaking. The nun´s in the former monastery, where he lived with hi´s wife, took care of deserted children. This old house has alo been a ,I think its called, "Bastion"for military purpos. One day we walked 10 kilometers on a old antique road built by the Romans.
