Căpriana Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the Republic of Moldova. It is situated in the central area of the country, about 40 km northwest of Chisinau, in the hilly forested area that once labeled Codrii Lapusnei. Considered by many historians, the last bastion of the voivodal architecture of the Republic of Moldova belonging to the Romanian cultural space.
