In the south of the Basque Country, in the province of Alava, there is a region bordering La Rioja, called La Rioja Alavesa, famous due to many different things: landscapes, villages and wines attracts a lot of tourists every year.
In the first pic, you can see a Dolmen called la chabola de la hechicera (sorceress' hut) which has thousands of years, it is a tomb from the stone age!
You can see it if you visit the village of Elvillar
Concepcion Kalea in Elciego, that village is famous due to its wines: Marques de Riscal, is one of the main wineries that you can find in that beautifull village, which is famous because of an stunning building designed by Frank Gehry and it is used as a luxury Hotel..
It is amazing isn't it? It is similar to Bilbao's Guggenheim.
The wines of that winery are as good as expensive!
Finally the jewel of the crown of that region is the medieval village of Laguardia. But I'll tell you more about it in nexts posts
See you!
