Snow May (Part Two: Descent)

This is a continuation of the story about a hike on the ridge Svydovets (part one).	Це продовження розповіді про похід на хребет Свидовець (частина перша).
We decided to go down and build a fire.	Ми вирішили спуститься і розвести вогонь.
The place planned for spending the night (Lake Vorozhetska) was not at all suitable in these conditions. The descent to it was very steep and covered with snow. And we already knew for sure that we would not find firewood there.	Місце, заплановане для ночівлі (озеро Ворожеська) зовсім не підходило в цих умовах. Спуск до нього був дуже крутим і завалений снігом. І ми вже точно знали, що дров ми там не знайдемо.

The wind sometimes fanned the fog quickly, but a few seconds later a fresh ration came. I barely had time to get a camera to take a picture of anything in this hike.

Вітер іноді швидко роздував туман, але через кілька секунд приходила свіжа порція. Я ледь встигав діставати фотоапарат, щоб сфотографувати хоч щось в цьому поході.

We went down below and immediately noticed the difference in the weather. Here the sun more often penetrated through the clouds and there was less snow.

Ми спустилися нижче і відразу помітили різницю в погоді. Тут сонце частіше пробивалося крізь хмари і було менше снігу.

Going down, we realized that we were losing height, which we were struggling with almost all day.

Спускаючись, ми розуміли, що втрачаємо висоту, яку важко набирали майже цілий день.

But, we encouraged each other by the fact that there is still nothing tosee ...

Але, ми підбадьорювали один одного тим, що там все-одно нічого не видно...

We left in the fog the most beautiful places of Svidovets: Mount Kotel, Lake Vorozheska, Lake Dogyasca and headed for the kolybas, which could be seen at the very bottom.

Ми залишили в тумані найкрасивіші мества Свидовця: гору Котел, озеро Ворожеска, озеро Догяска і попрямували до колиб, які виднілися в самому низу.

There was no snow at all, and the spring was more like itself.	Тут снігу не було зовсім і весна була більше схожа на себе.
We did not see what they were planning to see, but the mood was good, albeit very tired.	Ми не побачили того, що планували побачити, але настрій був хорошим, хоч і сильно втомилися.

I realized that from hiking you can get not only beautiful views, peace of mind and communication with nature, but also communication with pleasant people and maybe friendship!

Я зрозумів, що від походів можна отримати не тільки красиві види, душевний відпочинок і спілкування з природою, а й спілкування з приємними людьми і можливо дружбу!

All have reconciled with descent and already were in thoughts near a fire. Everyone imagined how warmed we would be and dry things. This was the number one task.	Всі змирилися зі спуском і вже були думками біля багаття. Всі усвідомлювали як ми зігріємось і висушимо речі. Це було завданням номер один.
I did not have such an acute problem, unlike my friends.	У мене не було такої гострої проблеми, на відміну від моїх друзів.

Finally we reached the hut, which had beds and a stove! Joys of friends there was no limit! How interesting: next time we would not even pay attention to such a hut, but now it has become our home.	Нарешті ми дійшли до хатини, в якій були ліжка і пічка! Радості друзів не було меж! Як цікаво: в інший раз ми б навіть не звернули уваги на таку колибу, а зараз вона стала нашою домівкою.
We found firewood, melted the stove and had a delicious supper. Friends had a particularly pleasant surprise for such an evening - a small bottle of cognac. It was a very pleasant addition to a difficult day!	Ми знайшли дрова, розтопили піч і смачно повечеряли. У друзів був особливо приємний сюрприз для такого вечора - маленька пляшка коньяку. Це було дуже приємним доповненням важкого дня!

This may be May in the mountains! And such conditions and such a company makes such special hikes. After all, if I were alone, thoughts and moods would be completely different.	Ось такий може бути травень горах! І саме такі умови і така компанія робить особливими такі походи. Адже якби я був один - думки і настрій були б зовсім інші.
But, this is not the end of the story!	Але, це ще не кінець історії!
