| Today I want to tell you about the hike, in which was the most terrible weather. What this hike was in May! | Сьогодні я хочу вам розповісти про похід, в якому була найжахливіша погода. При чому цей похід був в травні! |
| The hike began with dating. Basil and Konstantin arrived from Kiev and we went together to the starting point. | Похід почався зі знайомства. Василь і Костянтин приїхали з Києва і ми разом попрямували до точки старту. |
| For a while it was just cloudy. But, as soon as we started the ascent it began to rain, which gradually intensified. | Якийсь час було просто похмуро. Але, як тільки ми почали сходження пішов дощ, який поступово посилювався. |
| Then the rain went to the wet snow. The snow fell very quickly and in 30 minutes the whole earth was covered with a white blanket. | Потім дощ перейшов в мокрий сніг. Сніг падав дуже швидко і через 30 хвилин вся земля вже була покрита білою ковдрою. |
| Before the hike, I watched the weather forecast and was ready for such events, but common sense did not want to reconcile with the fact that the green grass and the first flowers will be buried for a long time under the winter snow. | Перед походом я дивився прогноз погоди і був готовий до таких подій, але здоровий розум не хотів миритися з тим, що зелена трава і перші квіти будуть надовго поховані під зимовим снігом. |
| At first we joked and were busy with stories about ourselves and our hobbies. But, after a while the topic of our conversations more often passed to overcoming the snow and low temperature. | Перший час ми жартували і були зайняті розповідями про себе і свої захоплення. Але, через якийсь час тема наших розмов все частіше переходила на переборення снігу і низької температури. |
| My friends jokingly told me that they were hoping to see a spring idyll: singing birds, succulent grass, the first flowers, girls in shorts... :-) | Мої друзі жартома розповідали, що сподівалися тут побачити весенюю ідилію: співаючих пташок, соковиту траву, перші квіти, дівчат в шортах... :-) |
| But in fact on the first day we did not meet anyone at all... Everyone hid and fell silent... | А насправді в перший день ми не зустріли взагалі нікого... Всі сховалися і затихли... |
| I asked my colleagues if they were ready to go further, because, unlike me, they were dressed in spring. | Я запитав у моїх колег чи готові вони йти далі, тому-що на відміну від мене вони були одягнені по-весняному. |

| On this day we first had rain, then snow, and at the end a fog was added... | У цей день у нас спочатку був дощ, потім сніг, а в кінці додався ще туман... |
| My friends had only a map. I suggested that they show at least the direction to go. Because of the fog visibility was not at all and they realized that in the fog the map is not suitable for navigation. Especially in places like Svidovets, where there are many cornices, from which you can easily break. | У моїх друзів була тільки карта. Я запропонував їм показати хоча б напрямок куди треба йти. Через туман видимості не було взагалі і вони зрозуміли, що в тумані карта не годиться для навігації. Особливо в таких місцях, як Свидовець, де є багато карнизів, з яких можна запросто зірватися. |
| I had a wonderful Osman program installed on my smartphone, which clearly showed us the way. | У мене на смартфоні була встановлена чудова програма Osmand, яка нам чітко показувала шлях. |
| With her help, we passed all dangerous areas and began to think where to spend the night, because it was unreal to find a path to the planned place for spending the night. In addition, to the place of spending the night had to go down a very steep slope. We decided to go the other way. | З її допомогою ми минули всі небезпечні ділянки і почали думати де заночувати, тому-що знайти стежку до запланованого місця ночівлі було нереально. До того ж до місця ночівлі треба було спускатися по дуже крутому спуску. Ми вирішили спуститься в інший бік. |
| There was no one around. We were tired, but we did not want to spend the night on the ridge under a strong wind. It was necessary to dry clothes and shoes. And although I had shoes that were not soaked at all, I decided to stay together and go down. | Навколо не було нікого. Ми втомилися, але ночувати на хребті під сильним вітром не хотілося. Треба було підсушити одяг і взуття. І хоча у мене були черевики, які зовсім не промокли, я вирішив залишатися разом і спускатися. |

Дякую за коментар. Так, мені було важко прийняти рішення йти далі, спостерігаючи за кросівками друзів, але можливо тільки через постійний рух нам вдалося утримати вийти з положення та пройти весь запланований маршрут та навіть більше...

У вас як завжди дуже гарнi пости! А фото просто супер)). Як же ж вашi друзi у мокрих кросiвках йшли? Але менi це нагадує дитинство, коли ми вiд захоплення зимою, теж не вiдчували мокроi одежi))))
Спочатку хлюпало, потім перестало - замерзло... :-) Так вони казали. Насправді ми йшли до кінця - доки не дійшли до колиби. Але вона нам не дуже сподобалась і ми ще походили, доки не знайшли іншу з пічкою. Там відігрілись та висушились. Я був готовий до цього бо дуже ретельно слідкував за прогнозом погоди, а вони сподівались на звичайну травневу весну... :-)
