The 5 star Manor House Hotel is looking gorgeous
But its the whole place what makes this little village unique.
So what's the story behind those walls ????
This was built back in the 17th century and it has 48 rooms and a very big garden as you expect . It has the Norman architecture marks and characterised in style by the Romanesque. In other words rounded and rounded arches particularly over doorways and windows .
Hosted a number of Lords over the years but the most famous was Sir John Oldcastle.Shakespeare based his character of Sir John Falstaff upon on his play Henry IV.
During World War II it was a headquarters of the New Zealand Forestry Office .
Now let's see that garden .......
Fancy to play a chess game????
It is a very good place to steem out , indeed
