Entering into Mu Wi Sa Temple in Wol Chul San Mountain

in #travel6 years ago

I had looked around some temples in Southern area of Korea.
As I posted, the Buddhist temples are located near the foot of the mountain.
Mu Wi Sa temple was placed along the southern part of Wol Chul San Mountain which was famous for its scenery of the rocks.
The meaning of the temple was so interesting, it seemed to contain Taoistic philosophy.
Mu Wi means 'Do Nothing'. Here 'Do Nothing is non artificial'.
Sometimes teachings between Buddhism and Taoism seemed very close.

When I arrived at the temple, it was late afternoon.
What waiting for me was the one pillar gate. It seemed to be built in the recent time.

There was a Heaven Kings gate after the one pillar gate. The Heaven Kings gate itself was not particular.
But the scenes from the heaven kings gate was so awesome.

Finally I could get arrived at the center of the temple, passing through the 2 story auditorium in front of the main hall of this temple.

The gates of the Buddhist temple seemed to be built as the process of the ceremony to prepare for real praying to Buddha.

@slowwalker,
It seems like you had to walk a long way to cover the temple buildings. My knowledge about Korean building structures are really NIL! So I can't say a much about them, but I have never seen such buildings (specially roofs) in my country!

Cheers~

The roofing is so very ornate! What a nice setting in the mountain area. I really like the look also of the stones used as steps and wall on the last photo! Nice work.

Nice to see the shots from today's post looks a very divine place !

Always love visiting Buddhist temples. They are so serene, peaceful and beautiful. Though the ones here in Cambodia look very different. Have a lovely day my friend.

Must've been an awesome sight to behold.

Wow.... Excellent... Really i love your photography....and post... My dear friend...💕 @slowwalker

I also think Buddhism and Taoism similar to each other as the temple name
Mu Wi implies. Thank you for good posting.

It looks really nice. But also iy looks really empty for a nice place like this.
I am wondering is it really empty (no tourist) or u try hard to take empty photos? 🤔

If I had a "Temple's Tuesday" Contest, this would be first place winner! 👍 🎉 😁

Tuve que usar el traductor google para entenderlo sin embargo me resulto bastante interesante e ilustrativo, saludos.

The temples have been extraordinary. And the story of the story with the photo has been masked.heaven kings gate talked to yo and are ask this temple?

The temples always have an interesting architectural element to them. Seemingly, they are built to fit their surroundings, but, not always. Was this one built on the top of the set of mountains?

How honorable to make Heavens Gate but a piece, but to give the accolades to the view from there.

The shape of the roof to ward off the evil spirits has always made me wonder why we do not build our houses that way?

I wish you a peaceful night.

@slowwalker, Entrance roof style of Mu Wi Sa Temple in Wol Chul San Mountain so impressive and seemed some big than previous entrance of temples. Pillar gate looks refresh and like recently built up. Yeah...heaven kings gate so awesome. Next time I very prefer to see inside of auditorium. Well description.

Nice roof design
