It was getting darker. The stores began to turn on the lights one by one.
People hurried to go home. 'Shopkeepers were preparing for night guest. I don't know the reason why but a thought, niight view in market place must be nice, came to me.
Night has a mysterious power. Night had seduced me often escape from home in my childhood. I remember my mom strictly ban me go out of house after dinner. We should stay at home. She certainly believed that goddess of night took her children away anywhere. I was happy when I entered college for going out with free.
I need to wait for a while to meet a goddess of night. I was hungry. So I entered into a restaurant to eat and to wait for a while.
I ordered a noodle. It was dark out side while I was eating a noodle.
Walking out from the restaurant, I came across a modern department. The contemporary department in front of a conventional marketplace seemed not so suitable.
Turning to the left, there was a road to the market. Some stores were closed and some stores were preparing for visitors in night.
As walking into the market, night views in market was impressive to me. I took a photo of the night views
Dark background of the photos made me look more closer to an essence of the life.
Entering into the center part of the market, streets were light. On the road the street traders were taking a dinner. It smelled good. I'd like to get together with them.
I took the photos of night views more. I wish you enjoy night views of Nam Dae Moon market.
Turing to the corner, I walked along the street. There I could find that fried vegetable seller.
In the side of the street, a street bar was open. Some people drank soju of korean vodka and was talking together.
The back alley was closed. I took a photo of back alley in the market.
This melancholic atmosphere was nice.
It's time to go home, I went to the street. There I took the pics more of the street views.
I came back to home by bus.
Taking the photos of Nam Dae Moon market, I thoght to take more photos of Seoul night scenary.
Thank you for visiting.
Two posts on the Nam Dae Moon Market explore the difference between remembering and reminiscing - between memory and nostalgia for the past.
The times are changing, @slowwalker, and you're right - something's lost and something's gained.
The modern malls and department stores are beautiful but sterile. They lack the hustle and bustle of ordinary life and the colourful diversity of traditional Korean culture.
The familiar sights and sounds of people milling about and laughing are absent from modern malls - they seem too stiff and formal and we feel uncomfortable being in them.
Side walk vendors are the face of Seoul - these are the actual citizens struggling to make a living selling home made food and working long into the night.
This second post described the market at night - very fitting since it's called Nam Dae Moon Market!
When nighttime visits the city, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and simple streets become magical places lit by colourful lights.
Your photos captured the dark romance of Seoul - a different city when the lights come on.
There's not enough reality - not enough actuality.
You're right, @slowwalker, night has a mysterious power.
Yes, night is a hometown of myth
Great Post. Love Seoul. Will come visit again. Thanks for the memories...:)

Indeed, the night time is somehow magical. Personally, I'm more creative, sensitive and focused at night.
Btw, It's not easy to take photos by night so congrats, great work :)
In used to seeing photos of these markets during the day. It's cool to see them at night.
good post, happy to always see your psotingan. many stories and knowledge that I get here.
a very beautiful view at night.
Nam Dae Moon market, in which country is it?
Not your typical nature post. But still, extremely good photography and content :)
This is a very beautiful place to visit if we are looking for a night tie place to unwind in Korea where we can find good food among others in Korea.
Great photography.
It's really amazing to see that fried vegetables seller still there at night!
The contrast between morning and evening is lovely.
Ireally hope to visit your country one day and enjoy the night views of Nam Dae Moon market!
So beautiful!
@progressivechef
@slowwalker Thanks for your work sir.... Love it.
I love the night colours. I really think that is something the UK lacks independent traders, mainly due to the laws. Our shops are very regiment and dull to be honest no character to distinguish them.
Very Nice photos keep up the good work.
Upvoted.
Hey buddy :)
Great night streets post. I like it because is different to where I live.
Also, thank you very much for all the support you give me lately!
The power of night, the name of the power is mysterious. Somethings lost and somethings gained. Not actuality and not reality. Make me feel like in your story. Awesome, amazing, great and very very nice post. @slowwalker you are the best on all of your posted. 😢😢👍👍👍
There is something special about going out at night when the streets are empty and you have a totally different feel of the city. In your case it is not empty at all, might be less but i can see that there is still so much life going on.
I'd love to spend in some bigger city like this, it is so great for night photography with all that artificial light and interesting characters around, which you've shown with your series.
Amazing post really enjoyed reading it!
This reminds me when I went and visited the Taiwan night markets! There is just so much to look at and buy! Thanks for the share.
Your market place has a similarity to our market place here in Philippines. But our metros has a huge difference, yours are way too clean and nice :)
Is it warm there now?
I went in April. It was great sweater weather!
Day or night , the market is in full bloom at every time. This is the best part of it and we all really enjoy these markets. There is nothing to worry at such places like theft, kidnapping or snatching. We all feel safe in these all day conventional markets.
Trust me.... This is Great. Just upvoted your last 4 posts. Am New here, you can also check out my posts, once again, Nice write-up you have here.
